She is currently registered with the College of Massage Therapists of Ontario (CMTO) and the Ontario Massage Therapy Association (OMTA). Lauren has spent the better part of her career working in clinical settings, and has an affixed understanding of the importance of massage therapy in regards to proper body biomechanics. Lauren’s clinical focus includes assessing, improving and maintaining common soft tissue disorders. Lauren finds her passion in promoting the importance of physical health to those who lead a less active lifestyle. She has also found massive success in improving the performance of young active clients and prolonging the performance of mature clients, helping them enjoy a healthy body for years to come. Quote: “I always say it’s better to be in pain from working out, than from not working out. More often than not, my clients spend the majority of their life sitting at a desk, a position that takes a lot of exercise and understanding to combat. Imagine doing any other activity for 40 hours a week and think of the physical repercussions that would manifest; it’s just unnatural. I encourage my clients to stretch, strengthen and choose multiple physical therapies to help maintain their body’s original function, to help them live a long, happy and pain free life.” Education: Carleton University: Mass Communications (2008) Kikkawa College: Massage Therapy Diploma Program (2010) Canadian Lab Science Training Centre (LPG): Endermologie (2010) Thai Massage School of Chiang Mai, Thailand: Foundations of Thai Massage (2011) WSPS Certification Course: Office Ergonomic Assessments (Oct 2014) Career Highlights: Three published pieces in the Toronto e-news regarding massage therapy and physical well being (2012-2014) Professional Speaker: General Mill’s Canada and JTI Macdonald, lecture on Massage Therapy in Corporate Settings (2013) Valedictorian Kikkawa College class of 2010 ½ Marathon Competitor (2008)
